Welcome to the my unofficial Jess Ennis Web Page.

Having watched Jess over the past couple of years, I, like many of you, will have been blown away by the superb performance she put on at the 2009 Berlin IAAF Athletics Championships where she won the gold medal. Not only was she the winner, but she lead from the start keeping her nerve and delivering solid results in each event. I personally found it very exciting and cannot help thinking about what this will mean for her, her family and UK Athletics. Well done Jess, you have inspired us all.

Obviously, this means that Jess will be under the spotlight even more from now on. What with the murmurings about the possibility of being selected as the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year and of course the Olympics not too far away, she surely is heading for a busy time. It has recently been announced that Jess she will be competing at the Aviva British Grand Prix in Gateshead on Monday 31st August 2009 (August Bank Holiday) which is great news for all her fans, This is the first time she will have appeared at Gateshead and we wish her all the best. She will be competing in the 100m hurdles.

Her website has had a few updates over the past few days and now hosts a message board. Registered users can log on and join in the forums which is great. So, if you haven't done so already, show your support and go and register at www.jessicaennis.net.
